ADES continues training campesinas and campesinos from the departments of Cabañas and Cuscatlán on organic agriculture. This time, the technical team moved to the Palo Grande community in Suchitoto to share ground and water conservation techniques.
Both soil and water are strategic resources to attain crop productivity. “The soil has all of the nutrients that plants need, and if we don´t make good use of it, we will reach a point where it will not give life to anything,” expressed Agustín Durán, Agricultural Engineer from ADES.
The objective of the experience is that farmers know and operate the different types of ground and water conservation practices, their importance, measurements, uses, and the construction of conservation instruments such as the “level A.”
The producers have decided to be a part of these proceses in order to acquire new techniques for food production that protect life, health, and the environment.
