El equipo de ADES fortalece sus capacidades en la producción orgánica

The ADES team shared experiences with Father Fausto Milla, expert in natural medicine and the production of fruit trees in Santa Rosa de Copán in Honduras.

The objective of the visit was to learn more about Father Milla´s organic methods of production, and thereby reinforce the techniques that ADES shares with the communities it accompanies.

They confirmed yet again that organic agriculture is a universal practice, and the commitment to its development is not just the role of small farmers, but a commitment for all who prefer to preserve life in the world.

Food sovereignty and agroecology

The Sustainable Agriculture Program facilitates trainings and the application of organic agriculture techniques, working to advance campesina consciousness, soil recovery methods, and putting in practice ancestral and environmentally-friendly forms of agriculture.
According to our Values Statement, ADES is committed to protecting and defending natural resources, with the certainty that that is the only way to guarantee life in a comprehensive sense. In this effort to defend life, ADES is also committed to generating a different dynamic of relationships between the men and women who depend on agriculture and the land they cultivate
The Sustainable Agriculture Program is ADES’s core program that advances and promotes an understanding of agriculture that sees the earth as a living being, one that we must also show respect and consideration, based on the principles of life itself.

The feast of the Creation

Un gran banquete de salud y vida. Esa fue la invitación que durante los días 23 y 24 de agosto recibimos, y a manos llenas, todas y todos los que participamos en el taller que, auspiciado por ADES (Asociación de Desarrollo Económico y Social de Santa Marta) y coordinado por el sacerdote hondureño Fausto Milla, se estuvo desarrollando por acá.
