The artistic space driven by ADES and supported by young people, demonstrated the deceptive strategies used by the mining company to win sympathy for the El Dorado project in Cabañas.
After visiting communities near the project, performing critical theatre on a stage in front of the El Dorado installation, defending the human right to water and a healthy environment, supporting commemorative activities for our friend and environmentalist, Marcelo Rivera, and demanding a Cabañas free from exploitative mining; our artists closed their first year of executing the project.
A great project developed by young people, who through theatre, dance, clowns, and juggling showed the dangers of the mining projects and what is needed to defend our land and healthy environment.
This is the first year of the Caravan of Laughter, expected to bring critical humor, dance, and juggling to more communities in 2017.
