Organized women in Santa Marta and La Maraña are participating in a training series on gender put together by ADES. The educational process seeks to empower female leaders so that they themselves are the protagonists of their own transformation.

Women from Radio Victoria, Asociacion Ambiental La Maraña, Cooperativa Santa Marta, Organización de Mujeres, ADES, ADESCO El Rodeo, and the folk dance group “"María Aideé” participated in this process, which addressed violence, stereotypes, and self-care.

During the workshops they questioned the part institutions have played in legitimizing the role of women in society.
