ADES shared the annual report on Human Rights with community leaders and governmental institutions in Cabañas.

It reflects that of all the denouncements that the Ombudsman's Office has received from ADES, the majority are concentrated on actions against defenders in rural areas.

The report also shows that the majority of attacks have been directed toward people defending their territory, the struggle for access to water and even a clean environment. It also demonstrates that the aggressors have been Mayors, companies, and groups of people who benefit from the indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources.

This report has been dedicated to the work that women do in the defense of Human Rights in the department and the whole country, as a way to recognize the challenging work they take on in adverse situations.
