ADES Santa Marta - Ocho Juntas de Agua serán capacitadas en software de lectura y facturación

Promover el fortalecimiento de las juntas de agua del departamento de Cabañas es una de las principales apuestas de ADES. Por ello, en coordinación ANDA, se capacitan a ocho juntas de agua de Cabañas de los municipios de Sensuntepeque, Guacotecti, Victoria e Ilobasco. El objetivo es formar fortalecer a las juntas de agua en temas informáticos, uso de sistemas digitales de lectura y facturación del consumo del agua.

Esto permitirá que los procesos administrativos y de facturación se facilite y sea exacta.

Esta actividad es gracias al apoyo la Medicor Foundation, DKA Austria y el Ayuntamiento de Bilbao.

Comprehensive water and sanitation management

Using a watershed management and planning approach, ADES’ Comprehensive water and sanitation management Program accompanies communities in the following processes:

Identifying possible sources of drinking water
Checking the quantity and quality of accessible water
Feasibility studies and detecting water-recharge zones
Technical support in developing potable water systems
Training in the administration of communal water systems
Support in the management of public and private institutions
Constructing potable water systems

Access to quality, sufficient drinking water remains limited in Salvadoran communities, and is the key challenge confronting organizations like ADES that accompany communities in developing water management processes.

Promote inclusive and horizontal leadership, with an emphasis on women and youth, that strengthen community organization. • Promote processes of political incidence, vindication of human rights and defense of the territories, in alliance with social movements.
